I'm still struggling to figure out which is the most disturbing image from Sunday's NCAA basketball. Bobby Knight flopping around in his underwear. Or Lars Ulrich and Coach K joining forces in a Guitar Hero video.

Sorry Coach Knight, that's THE Guitar Hero.

Knight, Coach K, Roy Williams and Rick Pitino dance around in their underwear. And the rest? That's up for you to decide after the jump.

Ulrich and Coach K are two of the most divisive forces in heavy metal and college basketball respectively -- things that are close to my heart. If these two guys are going to be in a video game, maybe something along the lines of Grand Theft Auto would be more appropriate.



But give the ad wizards that came up with this presentation a bonus round. Unlike the previous ad that was forced with Tony Hawk, Kobe, Michael Phelps and A-Rod, this one featured four guys who you could actually picture hanging out. Now the question is, do I want to imagine them hanging out? Probably not. But still, the video is well done.

Only, if you check this ESPN video, the guys weren't even in studio together. I feel let down.

MEMPHIS - For those who doubted Blake Griffin was really head and shoulders above the rest of college basketball this year, among the last of his 30 points for the Sooners' Friday night victory over Syracuse came on a baseline dunk - after he hit his head on the side of the backboard. (I know. It used to happen to you every now and then too.)

"That was the first time that happened," Griffin said afterward. "It kind of took me by surprise."

I saw "Big Country" Reeves break a backboard in a Final Four warm up for Oklahoma State.

I saw Mateen Cleeves and Eduardo Najera head butt each other at full speed in a tournament game. (Najera was knocked woozy for the longest time.) I saw the Arkansas mascot blow out his knee in a pre-game routine before a Final Four game.

Griffin's head knock was a first. He should try to replicate it next February in the NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk contest.

Morgan State forward Ameer Ali apparently watched too many replays of Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair grabbing a rebound and taking Hasheem Thabeet right over his back. Ali, however, did not have the ball; Oklahoma was off and running with it. Ali did, however, have Blake Griffin in the vicinity, so he decided to make a name for himself by showing he could flip Griffin in a bush-league move that got him ejected. (Video after the jump.)

Making it to the Big Dance is the moment every college player dreams about, but for members of the Cal State Northridge basketball team this achievement means so much more. This year's team had to overcome challenges on and off the court time and time again, only to remain standing tall.

In this exclusive FanHouse report, we were there with the Cal State players and coach Bobby Braswell as they get the news that they made the NCAA tournament, with top-seeded Memphis waiting in the first round. And no, they aren't backing down from this challenge either.

Watching CBS reveal the brackets was largely empty of much unintentional comedy (or any other kind). The one exception came during one of their fascinating look-ins to the NCAA Selection Committee chambers. This moment featured one of the more inept attempts at -- well -- it was not a high five . It was mainly, well, I don't know what you want to call this moment between the two men other than "incredibly awkward."

Say what you will for Dick Vitale, he's certainly passionate about college basketball. But does his passion get in the way of his ability to analyze the sport objectively? His colleagues Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas seemed to suggest so on ESPN Sunday night.

Asked to name a team that didn't deserve its NCAA Tournament berth, Vitale named Arizona. And then he launched into an impassioned defense of a team that he believes should have been invited to the Big Dance in Arizona's place.

"I look at St. Mary's of California," Vitale said. "I've gotta believe it's heartbreak hotel. When you lose a total of two games when you have your roster intact. You lose four games of your six without [Patrick] Mills. He's back now. I think they got a raw deal. I think the committee went to the power conferences, obviously. They went that route instead of rewarding the little Davids."

But Bilas shot back, "Do you think, Dick, that St. Mary's is better than Arizona head-to-head?"

Vitale said, emphatically, that he does believe St. Mary's is better than Arizona, adding that big schools wouldn't play against St. Mary's. But Bilas was having none of it.

"Mid-majors can get people to play them," Bilas said. "You're wrong. St. Mary's can get games if they want them, and they chose not to play the big shots. ... The idea that they went out and challenged themselves like Gonzaga did, or like some other mid-majors, I just don't think that's the case."

The argument then grew more heated. Vitale said, "I know you went to Duke," and Bilas accused him of "playing the Duke card."

Phelps jumped in to support Bilas's side of the argument, and with that, Vitale threw up his hands and said, sarcastically, "OK, you guys are right." Score one for Bilas and Phelps.

Syracuse forward Kristof Ongenaet took a nasty fall after dunking late in the first half Saturday against Louisville.

Ongenaet stayed down for a few minutes and was checked out by the medical staff, but he turned out to be fine. After the game, Ongenaet wasn't even thinking about his fall; he just wanted to talk about what the loss to Louisville meant to the team:
"I think we have to just look at the big picture," SU forward Kristof Ongenaet said. "Although we lost, it's not a happy feeling, but the bigger thing is the NCAA Tournament, and that's what it's all about."
Syracuse will play its first round Tournament game Thursday or Friday, and thankfully, Ongenaet will be on the floor.
