For about 30 minutes, Big West champion Cal State Northridge looked like it was going to go down in the March Madness annals with 15-seed Cinderellas Hampton, Coppin State, Santa Clara and Richmond, the only four No. 15 seeds with first-round wins. Northridge nearly became the fifth, holding a 62-56 lead over No. 2-seed Memphis with 10:02 left.
Memphis -- a team that many argued should have been a No. 1 seed -- dominated the game's final 10 minutes, though, outscoring Northridge 25-8 down the stretch and surviving a huge scare for an 81-70 victory on Thursday. The Tigers really have just one guy to thank for their come-from-behind win, and he was an unlikely star.

Making it to the Big Dance is the moment every college player dreams about, but for members of the Cal State Northridge basketball team this achievement means so much more. In this exclusive FanHouse report, we were there with the Cal State players and coach
Bobby Braswell as they get the news that they made the NCAA tournament, with top-seeded Memphis waiting in the first round. And no, they aren't backing down from this challenge either.

Among the big story lines from Sunday's filling out of the NCAA basketball tournament field, discussions of conferences who are "overrated" and "underrated" dominated the discussion. Specifically, fans of so-called mid-major teams cried foul, and the masses proclaimed the selection committee was biased in favor of the Big Ten and Pac-10 conferences.
