Between his brother Stephen Curry's emergence on the national stage last year, and his own proficient demonstration in the Big South this past year, it is hard to fault Seth Curry for seeking a bigger stage in college basketball than Liberty University. After only a few days and one visit, the Curry clan has decided on a destination: Duke. With the Blue Devils bounced from the Sweet 16 earlier this week, Curry and his father Dell Curry took a trip to Durham to meet with coach Mike Krzyzewski Sunday. Apparently, the meeting went very well.
"There were other schools he was going to visit, but Coach K really wanted Seth," said Dell Curry, a former Virginia Tech and Charlotte Hornets star. "His vision for Seth and for the program, it was great as parents to hear someone of his stature sell us on how bad he wanted Seth."So Curry will get that bigger stage. And considering the frequency of national appearances Duke makes every year, it's hard to get much bigger.
The program has excelled at promoting and featuring shooting guards in its offense. At the same time, players like Greg Paulus and J.J. Redick have, in recent years, been treated to vitriol, mocking and fan abuse taken to almost ridiculous extremes. To date, Curry has gotten nothing but love and accolades. After sitting out a year as a transfer, he will have quite an adjustment given the scorn and abuse most Duke players are routinely subjected to.

This is great news for all Duke fans as not only do they get a quality player in Seth, but the Curry family is a class act all the way around and will be an asset to the Duke family as a whole. I look forward to following the Blue Devils even more with this fantastic development.

What a fascinating development...duke is crushed by Villanova and suddenly they agree to take a transfer from unknown Liberty. WOW, how desperate is duke these days???? He was never recruited by duke and now he is welcomed with open arms. Was ANY consideration given to his academic worthiness???????????

college sports is a big joke? Have you looked at professional sports lately? College sports is exciting to watch because it's actually atheletes that care about the game and more then a paycheck, and who cares if players leave early, if they leave early, it's because they're that good. I don't care what anybody says, college sports especially basketball and football is where its at!

If any of these so called "stars" were really any good at all, they should go to a school NOT use to winning and getting there way based on their coach. They could go down as a "Superstar" for that program and all the other accolades that go with that. Going to Duke is nothing special at all, with every player some form of high school all-american, your suppose to win, so it's nothing special at all, well, unless you lose. Coach K and Williams at UNC to me, should be in the finals all the time with them landing the top players out of high school year in and year out. They do nothing special at all with them. Two very egotistical people really. At least Stephen Curry had the guts to go to a smaller program and make it something special.

Duke players are hated? Maybe they should stop breaking noses and trying to elbow other players in the eye every time they're losing. Duke is full of students who were born on third base and think they hit a triple.

So he wasn't good enough for Duke coming out of high school, but now all of a sudden The K deems a transfer from a small school is worthy of being a Blue Devil? Too bad Curry doesn't have any loyalty to the school that believed in him enough to give him a scholarship and platform to showcase his talents.
